In 2006 my grandfather was diagnosed with Stage 4 metastatic melanoma. In a time before immunotherapy treatments and the advances that have come with recent research, this was effectively a death sentence. I idolised my Grandpa and to watch him suffer this insidious disease was horrific, something you’d never wish upon anyone. As a result of this experience and in the hope that I can play some small part in helping to make a difference by raising awareness and hopefully some money for the amazing work the Melanoma Institute of Australia does I have created my very own fundraising page for Melanoma March. Through here you can easily support my efforts by making a secure donation. All funds raised will go towards a clinical trial to support MIA’s ground breaking research into melanoma and its impact.
